Ineffectiveness: A Way of Life

I love people like Steven Covey who develop simple but brilliant programs for living which earn them millions of dollars while not changing anyone’s life one single bit. Highly effective people do not waste their time reading books about how to get more done in less time. It is the rest of us, who waste countless hours every day doing everything except for what we should be doing, who buy Covey’s book but never get around to reading it. It just sits there, collecting dust, deluding us into believing that we have taken the first step by buying the book that will tell us how to live effectively or reminding us that we will never, ever be effective, no matter how many books we buy, inspirational speakers we listen to, life coaches we hire, pills we pop, or prayers we offer up. I dedicate this blog to the 99.9% of the population who wake up each day believing that they will accomplish something (but rarely do).

The 7 Habits

1. Procrastination

2. Wasting time

3. Coffee breaks

4. Sleeping

5. Losing Focus

6. Losing car keys (etc.)

7. Forgetting things

8. Messiness

9. Happy Hour
